About this deal

While one of the major concerns of the Dell Alienware AW3423DW was its audible fan noise, the issue isn't as prevalent with this monitor. Similar to the AW3423DW, it has an aggressive Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL) that dims the screen when there are full-screen windows open in HDR. Like at the max refresh rate and at 120Hz, motion looks incredible with 60Hz signals, although there's still persistence blur caused by the sample-and-hold method.

You have the right to demand access to personal data and to rectify, erase or limit the processing, as well as to object to the processing. Another helpful feature in that regard is the support for a variable refresh rate, which contributes to reducing screen tearing. With this iteration, the monitor now delivers native FreeSync support, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes. Its visual prowess, particularly in enhancing games like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, makes it a standout investment. The Dell AW3423DWF has a near-instantaneous response time that results in almost no motion blur with fast-moving objects.

The Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8/G85SB S34BG85 use the same QD-OLED display. Like any OLED display, there are thin vertical lines in near-dark scenes, and it has the Venetian Blind Effect with darker grays.

You can see the EOTF in the 'DisplayHDR True Black' mode with Console Mode and Source Tone Map disabled. You can get a lot of immersion from a large flat panel like the Aorus FO48U, but a curved ultra-wide, especially one with the contrast and color saturation of the AW3423DWF, conforms better to one’s peripheral vision. anonymousdude said:Updateable firmware and the first update supposedly only affects the fan, so all results should be valid here. We've added a comparison to the recently reviewed Samsung Odyssey OLED G8/G85SB S34BG85, which has a better maximum Refresh Rate across all inputs. On the other hand, the Corsair has a higher 240Hz refresh rate, which is ideal for competitive gaming, and it supports 4k signals up to 120Hz from the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which the Dell can't do.bandwidth, making it an ideal choice for console gaming, while the Dell has an ultrawide screen if you like to play atmospheric games.

I already have a 34" screen, which I like, but would ideally like a touch more vertical resolution, so I've ben assuming that my next upgrade would be to a 38" ultrawide. Digital Direct: Your digital content will be delivered directly to your device during set-up; no codes required. This monitor is designed to deliver an immersive gaming experience with its fast refresh rate and vivid display. The Dell has an ultrawide display with a QD-OLED panel, allowing it to get much brighter with more vivid colors than the Corsair. These results are in 'HDR Peak 1000', and the color gamut is similar even in 'DisplayHDR True Black', but colors and highlights are brighter with 'HDR Peak 1000'. This made it far easier to maintain my aim and to keep my viewpoint locked on where it needed to be.

Settings : the built in menu let's you alter colour set up, hdr etc it's easy to use and i've had no issues using it. The screen would just randomly go black, and then reappear, no windows disconnect sound, no input change, the screen just dies and then comes back. Clarified in Build Quality that this monitor indeed has an internal fan, but it's quiet and not as loud as the Dell Alienware AW3423DW. Entertainment : LG 55" C9 OLED HDR Smart UHD TV with AI ThinQ®, 65" Samsung AU7000 4K UHD Smart TV, SONOS Beam (Gen 2) Dolby Atmos Soundbar, SONOS Sub Mini, SONOS Era 100 x2, SONOS Era 300 Dolby Atmos, Logitech G560 2.

Although the Dell AW3423DWF doesn't have native G-SYNC support, it still works with NVIDIA graphics cards over both DisplayPort and HDMI connections. Rewards: Rewards are earned on Dell purchases (excluding Dell Outlet purchases and third party products) made on dell. While some small highlights are around 1,000 cd/m², the overall real scene peak brightness is worse than the Dell Alienware AW3423DW. OLED is noted for its "true blacks," wherein the pixel actually shuts off entirely, creating a zero-light zone and greater picture contrast versus IPS, VA, or TN panels.
