Our signature paint, the Marble Matt Emulsion, is a water based acrylic emulsion which has outstanding opacity resulting in excellent coverage per litre, with one litre of our paint covering approximately 15m2. On some rough sawn timber, one coat may suffice, but if you are treating a garden building (such as a shed, summerhouse or log cabin) you should always apply at least two coats. Ivy helped me to mix the glue and shaving foam together, she really enjoyed stirring it around and seeing the two substances come together.
The coverage rates will vary depending on surface being coated and the particular product range being used. Without appropriate care before painting, lighter colours in particular are prone to discolouring due to tannin bleed from the wood, a natural but avoidable problem if the right steps are taken. Most often, Jungle Green will be paired with natural wood stains, particularly those with a reddish brown colouration such as Cedar Wood or Mahogany. However, you should wait 24 hours before allowing pets, soil or children to come into contact with anything that has been painted as a precaution.Luckily I don't think that it's an exact science as different amounts came out in each paint pot and all three of the puffy paints turned out fine.
