About this deal

For a start, the Whisper Flex Smart has no fewer than 26 different speeds, and the sleep timer works in one-hour increments up to 12 hours. There’s about 90 degrees each of horizontal and vertical oscillation, too – you can switch them on independently or together.

There didn't seem to be instructions for operating the fan via this power button, although repeatedly tapping it seemed to increase the fan speed, and after struggling for a while to figure out how to turn the fan off at the base – something not covered in the instruction manual – I discovered a long press of the power button turned the fan off. Today received the ordinary, non-smart Whisper White through Bol because it was unfortunately sold out here. Smart fans save you money by regulating their usage. A fan isn’t particularly expensive to run, but the costs add up over time. By reducing the time that your fan is on, or running at high speeds Convenience To provide the necessary stability for the floor-standing configuration, this fan’s base seems a bit large in desk fan mode. Its most notable feature is the big, round control panel and display near the front. This is clearly reminiscent of Nest thermostats, working in a similar way: turning the ring scrolls between menu items, and pressing selects one. It works well once you’re used to it, but the ring doesn’t feel particularly happy about turning. My sample had a mis-aligned and poorly fitted glass top, too. Best fan ever! I have a dyson fan or 400 euros but so happy I bought this. The natural fashion where it simulates wind like outside is amazing. In that fashion it will automaticfit the speed to simulate the wind outside. In this fashion you can still set the max speed which is great. Swiveling Horizontal and Vertical is completely Without Noise. It works very well but I don’t use it. I have positioned it in the middle at the foot end of the bed and both and my girlfriend Feel the air. With natural fashion on the fan and ocean sounds on google home it’s like we are lying on the beach! I don’t understand people say it’s too Expective. It’s 99 euros or 149 euros to have it with wifi so you can control with an app and Google Home. The fan is super Quiet. If I set it to a position that matches the air strength of the dyson this duux is very quiet while the dyson sound like a jet twaking off. A conventional fan chops the air which causes that vibrating sounds so typical of those fans. This fan has a double blade design which Fixes this vibrating for a large part. So Happy with this fan and for a very fair price consulting the functionality, innovation and design. Well Done Duux, hope you do well as everyone should hear about your whisper fans! Meer lezenControls are simple, using the built-in speed control on the fan, the remote control, or the app, compatible with any modern device. There are 26-speed settings, a seriously wide variety, as well as the usual variety of function modes, including night settings. The Duux Whisper Flex is essentially a pedestal fan with a clever modular design, enabling it to work effectively as a room fan or a smaller floor-level fan. The motor unit sits on a mount that swivels both horizontally and vertically, allowing it to oscillate in both directions, and this connects through a tough plastic stalk to the base where the onboard controls sit.

As for power consumption, the Whisper Flex consumes around 28.5W at full power and just 3.5W at its lowest setting. Again, you’ll struggle to find a more frugal pedestal fan, though the Meaco 1056P manages to push a little more air for fewer Watts. A smart fan is relatively simple to describe. It’s literally a fan that can be controlled through Bluetooth, using your phone or other devices. You'll also need to set up the fan's remote control. First, you need to slide out the battery compartment – you need to depress the button on the base to do this which isn’t mentioned in the instructions – and then slot in the battery aligning the positive polarity with the + symbol on the remote. The instructions don’t say which way up to put the battery in, so I hazarded a guess and slid the battery tray shut. In night mode, the display turns off completely after 10 seconds to ensure a good night’s sleep. The display can be reactivated by pressing the control button. At the lowest speed, the fan produces only 13 dBa and thanks to the double blade design, the cutting wind noise is reduced. Bladeless fans also have multiple other benefits that you might not have considered. Some fans have an ionisation filter, which sterilises the air as it passes through, as well as a HEPA filter that removes 99% of particulates out of the air, great for hayfever and people who might have breathing issues.

There are 3-speed settings, a timer that can be set for up to 8 hours, and a scheduling mode, letting you set up your fan to turn on, for example, half an hour before you get home.

Like many fans, there’s a ‘natural wind’ mode designed to mimic a real breeze. This is usually a less-than-convincing cycle through three clearly discernible speeds, but with unusually fine speed control, the Whisper Flex actually pulls it off. There’s also a Night mode that switches off the display and hushes the command beep. Infuriatingly, you can’t switch the latter off altogether.Meet the whisper-quiet Duux fan that surprises you with a soft breeze, a strong gust of wind and everything in between. The Duux Whisper has no fewer than 26 settings. This way you always find the perfect air flow strength. What\’s really nice: it doesn\’t matter where you are in the room, because it brings a pleasant coolness everywhere thanks to the horizontal and vertical oscillating function. The Duux Whisper Flex Smart is a quiet, powerful and reasonably good-looking fan. It’s quite compact, with the advantage that you can convert it between floor-standing and desk modes. Its support for horizontal and vertical oscillation – including the ability to point almost vertically up – helps make it suitable for almost any application, from overnight bedroom use to cooling a big room on hot days.

At some point I was pleased to hear that Mr Dyson (yes that one) would also be embarking on the shaky path of air travel. The ultimate result of his involvement, however, was downright disappointing. Yes, the design was visually groundbreaking. No fan blades but a futuristic looking ring with a strong airflow coming out of it. But what a noise!! It looked like a hairdryer on full blast…. Out of every fan on our list, the Princess Smart fan offers what we think is the best value and balance of features for most people. It’s essentially just a high-quality tower fan with smart features built-in, which should be precisely what you’re looking for.Meet the whisper-quiet Duux fan that surprises you with a gentle breeze, a strong gust of wind and everything in between. The Duux Whisper has no less than 26 modes. This way you will always find the perfect airflow strength. What\’s great: it doesn\’t matter where you go in the room, because thanks to the horizontal and vertical oscillating function, it brings a pleasant coolness everywhere. There’s also a timer function that lets you set a time duration between 1-12 hours after which the fan will automatically switch off; a night mode that automatically turns the LCD display off after 10 seconds for nighttime use; and a temperature function whereby the fan will measure the ambient room temperature against your desired setting and will automatically decrease its speed once the goal temperature is reached. Like the Meacofan 1056, the Whisper Flex Smart produces a consistent and reasonably focused column of air. At the minimum speed, we measured this at 1.9 metres per second (m/s) from 15cm, falling to 1.5m/s at one metre. At full speed, this rose to a mighty 5.8m/s at 15cm and 4.4m/s one metre away. Even at two metres, we still recorded a blowy 3.3m/s – even more than we measured from the Meacofan. Imagine: a wonderfully cooling breeze that follows you into every room of the house. Wonderfully fresh air in every corner turns your hot, stuffy house into an oasis of cool. New: the Whisper Flex Ultimate: an incredibly versatile, energy-efficient and powerful fan that can be set to your ideal temperature and works whisper-quietly. And you can take it anywhere: the rechargeable battery lasts 12 hours for wireless mobility around the home and beyond. Let a breath of fresh air blow through your home! Then its time to fit the fan to the base, this slots on easily as long as you make sure to align the larger of the two pins in the motor with the largest of the holes on the base plate.
